Youthful Trends Caffeinated Makeup Primer Review!

Youthful Trends offers  mineral makeup that is 100% natural with NO talc, bismuth, parabens or any other fillers. Best of all its never tested on animals.  Greensations Natural Capsaicin body products is also 100% natural and offer anti-aging formulas, anti itch, natural bug blocker among others.

I was recently asked to try out the 100% all natural Youthful Trends™ Caffeinated Makeup Primer.  The first in the world to include caffeine!  So naturally I jumped at the chance to try!

Description:

Youthful Trends™ Caffeinated Makeup Primer  is a pure makeup primer that works with every skin tone and type. Like our other primers, this clear formula reduces facial sweating, tightens lines and bonds your makeup for a look that lasts all day long, but this spray also has added caffeine to increase topical blood flow while protecting skin from UV damage and other environmental factors. This exclusive proprietary formulation also keeps pores breathing naturally - even under thick makeup. This water based formula is 100% natural and guaranteed to work with all types of makeup including powders, creams and liquids.

My Experience:

The first thing I noticed about the Youthful Trends™ Caffeinated Makeup Primer is the smell.  It was a very familiar aroma, I couldn't place it.  I took a look at the ingredients and the third one is cucumber.  (Remember all natural) Very clean fresh smell.  I gave the bottle a shake and spritzed my face.  It went on evenly and dried quickly.  Very easy application.  I used my fingers to go over my forehead a little extra and around my chin.  *The extra needed places* It dried smooth. I really couldn't feel anything extra on. I used my mineral makeup, and applied as normal.  Through about half the day when I usually touch up, from sweating and just wearing down the foundation, I went to re-brush".  I took a look and thought I think I can go a little longer.  I didn't reapply at all.  I was shocked!  It really did cut down on the perspiration, and helped the powder stay on all day.
This one bottle should last me about 2 or 3 months.  If you use a little more than me, it could go quicker.  Like I said I spritz and then put some on my fingers to go over the forehead and chin.  So if your lucky enough to not need much more than a spritz, you could go longer.  It retails for $29.99.  I say that's pretty good.  About $10/month.

Why You Should Use a Makeup Primer:

  • Evens out your skin tone
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Makeup lasts longer
  • Smooths out the surface
  • Moisturizes and keep your skin hydrated
  • If you have oily skin, it will reduce excess shine on the T zone
  • Pores appear smaller and less visible
  • Will not let makeup clog the pores
  • Disguise skin flaws and imperfections

Would I use This Company Again:

I loved it.  Yes I would.  All natural, no animal testing, no fillers.  Just pure simple amazing makeup and skin products.  I was very pleased with my experience.

    CSN Online Stores!

I was recently offered to review a product courtesy of CSN Stores!!   CSN has 200+ stores and sell everything from kitchenware to shoes.  Furniture like dinning room tables with name brands such as Hooker Furniture, Bernhardt, Stanley Furniture and Knoll®.   Everything for your home and more!  A lot more.

When I went to the site to pick out my item I was amazed!  All the different items. I was in heaven.  It's like going to the mall without packing everyone up.  Each store directed at a specific area.  Like their Bathroom Furniture Direct, AllModern or CSNbaby I could go on..But like I said there's over 200 stores!  Its no wonder their tagline is "Shop Easy".  It was very easy going from one place to another.  Easy clicking to narrow your search down to find that right product.  Very user friendly!

So....are you dying to know what I picked?? Well, I'll give you a teensy weensy hint.. Its not your average item reviewed by a mommy. But then again I'm never average. That's all I'm giving you. You 'll have to wait til I post the review!

    GlassesUSA

I have worn eyeglasses since elementary school.  So Ive bought just about every frame known to man!  I've gotten the big ol' round glasses that I thought made me look awesome. You know the ones you saw hot girls wear in the 80's.  Then they'd them off and tousle their hair...yup not as hot looking as you'd think.  I've gotten those black frames, the ones that were from like the 1950's.  That had made a come back.....  yeah not so much.  I absolutely hate looking for frames.  And forget about the stores helping you out.  They just want to make the best sale they can.  Or get you out as fast as possible.

Now that I have a family with three needing prescription glasses, I wouldn't say I'm any better at picking out glasses, but at least I'm a little more savvy.  I don't want to be rushed or only have a handful of glasses to choose from due to pricing issues.  I want a good looking pair of glasses that will last and I don't want to take out a second mortgage for them...OK maybe they're not that expensive but still pretty pricey!

Yes, I know there are other ways of doing things.  I wore contacts for awhile, but they always seemed to irritate my eyes.  But the end of the day my eyes were so red.  I would have to take a bottle of eye drops with me throughout the day.  And forget laser surgery, I'm not putting a laser into my eye! So I'm stuck with needing new glasses every couple of years.

GlassesUSA is a website where you can get glasses online.  They offer designer glasses like Polo, Dior and Ray Ban.  They also have prescription sunglasses, all at lower prices!  How?  Because they own their own laboratories, and pass on the savings to us!!  They even have Transitions lenses.  Which Im loving. I used to carry a pair a prescription sunglasses and regular.  That's too much. The glasses I have now are Transitions and let me tell you, I save so much time looking and trying to remember the place I last had my sunglasses...only to find out they were on my head!

Right now GlassesUSA is offering my readers a discount in addition to their low prices!  Just simply enter the promo-code "mommy10" and you'll get 10% off your order!

We do our best at GlassesUSA.com to ensure that all frames and lenses are produced to perfection and according to the prescription and specific needs and of our customers. Our optical experts put each pair of eyeglasses through our 5-Stripe process of excellence in order to inspect the accuracy of the prescription lenses and the frame alignment. We offer our customers a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee because we have confidence that you will love our products! If for any reason, our eyeglasses did not meet your standards, you may return them for an eyeglasses exchange or a refund.

    Happy Fathers Day!

Why my man kicks ass at being a Daddy!!

    • Since the day I came home and told him I was expecting our first kid, he quit (most of) his crazy ways. Only had to bail him out a couple of times after LOL!!
    •  He's been there for every birth and cried at each one.  You NEVER forget that.  The look of complete happiness.
    • He's changed diapers, feed, bathed, and burped without a fuss, when I needed a nap. We had 4 kids under 7 at one time. It got overwhelming at times!
    • He's teaching the kids the value of a mans word.  The days of a mans handshake and his word is all you need is almost gone.
    •  Since having baby #1 I've never had to work.  But sometimes I do to get away help.
    • He sold his Harley to buy a new boat.  His thinking, "The Harley he can take one kid at a time....  a boat we can all have fun together." Yea, floored me 'cause I thought the only thing you get rid of a Harley for is a better Harley!
    • His way with words.....  Im not the lecturing type.. You get in trouble and I deal with you, its short sweet and in your room!  Him he sits down and talks...and talks...and talks.
    • He can walk literally through his shoes and if his kids need something he deals.  Seriously, hes worn the soles off shoes a couple of times for his kids.
    • He's a good man, simple as a pimple.
Love you baby I'm so proud of you.
Thanks for knocking me up all them years ago, I have a blast with you and the kids.
    Happy Daddy's Day

Oooh todays was fun!! Come join us!

Hey Dads! You Friggin' Rock! Woot!

Well, I must say I do love Fathers Day!  Dads are so important in a childs life.  They are the first man a girl loves.  The first guy a boy hangs out with.  They give the boys a role model a a sense of who they are to be.  They give their daughter a guideline of what they're to be treated like in a relationship.

An exert from John Mayers "Daughter"
    Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
    Now I'm left
Cleaning up the mess he made
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do

They say anyone can be a "Father", but it takes a real man to be a "Daddy".  The Daddy role is so super important in any childs life.  And I hate to say it but.....

I have the best Dad!  (sorry I know you probably thought you did lol) He worked super hard all his life.  From helping his Mom and siblings(7) when his father passed away carrying on the family business.  To raising me and my siblings(4).  And now helping my sister with her kids(5).  He's an amazing man.  Never asked for a break, just knew what had to be done and did it!

He treats my Mom (His high school sweetheart *and believe me they still act like it ugh*) like a queen.  He's been there for everyone thats asked.  Dad is just a great guy.  Smart, funny as all get out, and always full of advice. (Sometimes when I dont even asked.)

Bottom line Dad you effin rock! Nuff said.

This song always reminds me of my Dad, especially this part:

I remember Daddy´s hands, working 'til they bled.
Sacrificed unselfishly, just to keep us all fed.
If I could do things over, I´d live my life again.
And never take for granted the love in Daddy´s hands.

Have a great Fathers Day Weekend y'all!

    Underwriters Laboratories Blog Tour

Summer is finally here and Mom Central and UL, a leading product safety testing organization, have teamed up to ensure your summer fun doesn't become summer trouble.

"Each year, more than 200,000 children ages 14 and younger go to the emergency room for play set-related injuries".

BEFORE INSTALLING A BACKYARD PLAY SET…
    ·         Make sure your backyard is large enough for playground equipment. The site must also provide good visibility and security. Before setting up equipment, look out for obstacles, such as the garage, tree branches, utility poles and wires.
    ·         Read and follow the manufacturer’s directions when setting up play set equipment. Be sure your child's weight and age fall within the manufacturer's recommended limits for the equipment.
    ·         Install protective surfacing, such as rubber tiles or mulch under the play set, at least six feed in all directions, to prevent serious injuries should a child fall.

    BEFORE HEADING OUT TO PLAY…
    ·         Carefully inspect backyard playground equipment. Make sure equipment is anchored safely in the ground, all equipment pieces are in good working order, S-hooks are entirely closed and bolts are not protruding.
    ·         Check for spaces that could trap children, such as openings in guardrails or between ladder rungs. These spaces should measure less than 3.5 inches or more than 9 inches.
    ·         Always supervise children on play set equipment to make sure they are playing safely.
    ·         Never attach ropes, jump ropes, clotheslines, pet leashes or cords of any kind to play set equipment. If used improperly, they can be potential strangulation hazards.
    ·         Watch for potential trip hazards, such as rocks, tree stumps and concrete footings. Make sure you’re children are aware of them as well.
    ·         Do a sandbox check. Before letting your child dig in, rake through the sand to check for debris or sharp objects. Also, inspect for any animal contamination or insect problems.

Living in sunny AZ its year round we hear about a child drowning.  It only takes a minute.   Running inside to grab a quick snack or texting while your supervising water play.  Any size child, any size pool, any age.  Accidents happen and that's why UL has put together some great Pool Safety Tips!

    POOL SAFETY AT HOME
    ·         If you have a pool at home, install a fence. The fence should be at least four feet high and have a self-closing, self-latching gate that has a locking mechanism beyond a child's reach.
    ·         Cut overhanging tree limbs and remove chairs or ladders from the pool area to prevent children from climbing over the fence that surrounds the pool.
    ·         Keep grates and drain covers in good repair and secured in place. Alert your family and guests to stay away from these devices, as the suction from drain outlets can be strong enough to cause entrapment of hair or body parts, which can potentially cause a person to drown.
    ·         Make sure you know infant and child CPR if you own a pool.

    BE SAFETY SMART WHILE SWIMMING
    ·         Supervision is a must. Follow the 10/20 rule when you’re at the pool. The 10/20 rule states the supervising adult needs to position themselves to be able to scan the pool every 10 seconds, and reach the water within 20 seconds.
    ·         Always have rescue devices, such as UL-LISTED life preservers, nearby.
    ·         Flotation devices, toys and inflatable swimming aids are not safety devices. They are toys and can easily puncture and deflate.
    ·         Always drain wading pools after children are done playing. Infants can drown in just a few inches of water.
    ·         Have a telephone nearby and appropriate emergency numbers posted.
    ·         Remove all toys when you leave the pool. Toys may attract children to the unattended pool.

UL and Disney have also teamed up with the characters Timon and Pumbaa to help your kids become Safety Smart®!  Check out the great video!
